CLO3D Collection
The ‘Formal Florals’ collection consists of three full-length gowns designed using the computer-aided design program, CLO3D. To promote sustainability, each of these garments is made with zero waste. They are all made with silk charmeuse fabric that was designed by me. This collection is perfect for spring and summertime events. This collection of evening gowns was inspired by images of a pink pear blossom that I captured photographs of. The blossoms and flowers stood out to me because of their range of color, delicacy, and structure. The drape of the flower’s petals inspired the flowy design of the garments. The textile designs were made using gouache and watercolor paints on mineral paper. The theme of my collection is classy, full-length, formal dresses. I aspired to incorporate flowy elements, such as gathered ruffles, into each look. Leg slits can be seen as a part of multiple garments as well as various necklines and sleeves. While all the garments are full length, they land at varying heights based on a consumer's preference. The color palette/theme consists of spring shades of pink, yellow, and green.
